Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing the Amble Walking Tours website at ambletours.com or using the Amble Walking Tours app (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Amble provides self-guided walking tours through our website at ambletours.com and our mobile app, with written stop content, optional audio narration, and route maps. Tour content can be translated and narrated in multiple languages. Our tours are informational and educational. Amble does not provide guided, in-person, or real-time tour services. You are solely responsible for your safety and conduct while walking any tour route.

3. User Accounts

You must create an account to purchase and access tours. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide accurate and current information when registering.

4. Purchases

Amble offers single-tour purchases. All purchases are processed securely through Square. When you purchase, you are redirected to Square's hosted checkout to enter your payment details. Your payment information is handled by Square and is not stored by Amble.

• Single-tour purchases grant lifetime access to one tour within the app.

Your purchase grants access to self-guided tour content within this app only. It does not include entry, admission, or access to any destination, museum, venue, or attraction along the route.

All purchases are non-refundable. Because tour content is digital and delivered instantly upon purchase, we do not offer refunds once access is granted. We encourage you to review the tour description, highlights, duration, and difficulty before purchasing to ensure the tour is right for you.

5. Partner Businesses & Paid Listings

Amble displays local businesses on tour maps and in related sections of the app. These are paid placements. Businesses pay a recurring fee to appear, and every business shown on an Amble map is a paying partner.

You should understand the following about partner listings:

• Paid placement, not endorsement. A business appearing in Amble has purchased a listing. Inclusion is not a recommendation, review, ranking, or endorsement by Amble, and does not mean we have inspected, vetted, or evaluated the business, its premises, its products, or its services.
• Not a complete directory. Amble does not attempt to show every business along a route. Businesses that have not purchased a listing will not appear, regardless of merit or proximity.
• We are not a party to your dealings. Any purchase, booking, reservation, visit, or other interaction between you and a partner business is solely between you and that business. Amble is not a party to it and has no responsibility for it.
• Independent third parties. Partner businesses are independent third parties. They are not owned, operated, controlled, employed, franchised, or supervised by Amble, and we make no representation about them.

Amble is not responsible for the quality, safety, legality, pricing, availability, accuracy of listed details, hours of operation, accessibility, or conduct of any partner business. We do not guarantee that a listed business remains open, in operation, or in the same location. Contact information shown in the app, including telephone numbers, is provided by the business and may be out of date. Selecting a phone number opens your device dialer; you place the call yourself, and standard carrier charges apply.

Any dispute, complaint, injury, loss, or damage arising from your dealings with a partner business must be resolved directly with that business. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Amble disclaims all liability arising from such dealings. The limitation of liability set out in these Terms applies to partner listings.

Businesses wishing to purchase a listing are subject to a separate partner agreement. Nothing in these Terms creates any right for a business to appear in the app.

We may add, change, suspend, or remove partner listings at any time, and may discontinue paid listings entirely without notice.

6. Intellectual Property

All tour content — including text, audio narration, translations, images, maps, and route designs — is the property of Amble Walking Tours and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Purchasing a tour grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access that content within the app. It does not transfer ownership of the content to you. You may not copy, redistribute, reproduce, publicly perform, or create derivative works from tour content without our written permission.

You also may not download, capture, extract, store, or share audio narration files outside the app, share account credentials or access links with others, or bypass, disable, or attempt to circumvent any access control, expiring link, or other technical measure we use to limit content to authorised users. Automated collection of tour content, including scraping, crawling, or bulk downloading, is prohibited. Voices used for narration, including any cloned voice of a named individual, are licensed to Amble Walking Tours for use within the service. You may not extract, reuse, imitate, or use them to train or fine-tune any speech, voice, or machine learning model.

7. User Conduct

You agree to use Amble lawfully and safely. You must not:

• Enter private property, construction zones, or restricted areas.
• Disobey traffic or pedestrian laws.
• Use the app while operating a vehicle.
• Share your account credentials with others.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract tour content.

8. Disclaimers

Amble tours are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Tour content may contain historical inaccuracies, and venues along routes may be closed, under renovation, or demolished. We do not guarantee the availability, accuracy, or condition of any third-party venue. You assume all responsibility for your safety during any tour.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Amble Walking Tours and its creators shall not be liable for any injuries, damages, or losses incurred during the use of our app or while walking any tour route. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the tour that gave rise to the claim.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from the Profile screen. Upon termination, your access to purchased content ceases immediately.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Amble Walking Tours is registered, without regard to conflict of law principles.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
