Business Partner Privacy Policy

This Business Partner Privacy Policy ("Policy") applies to business owners, representatives, and organizations ("you," "your," or "Business Partner") who submit an inquiry, sign up, or otherwise engage with Amble Walking Tours ("we," "us," "our") to be listed on our walking tour maps. This Policy is separate from our main App Privacy Policy, which covers individual users of our mobile app. By submitting the business inquiry form on our website or otherwise entering into a listing agreement with us, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.

1. Information We Collect

When you submit an inquiry or sign up to be listed as a business on our tour maps, we may collect:

  • Business Information: Business name, category/type, physical address, and description of your business
  • Contact Information: Your name, title/role, email address, and phone number
  • Billing Information: Payment details necessary to process your sign-up fee and recurring monthly fee (processed securely via our third-party payment processor — we do not directly store full payment card numbers)
  • Communications: Any messages, correspondence, or support requests you send us
  • Account Activity: Records of your listing status, payment history, and listing/renewal dates

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected to:

  • Evaluate and respond to your business listing inquiry
  • Create and manage your business listing on our tour maps
  • Process your one-time sign-up fee and recurring monthly fee
  • Communicate with you about your listing, billing, renewals, or account status
  • Provide customer support
  • Improve our tour offerings and business partnership program
  • Comply with applicable tax, accounting, and legal recordkeeping obligations

3. Payment Processing

Sign-up and monthly listing fees are processed through a third-party payment processor (e.g. Square). We do not store your full payment card details on our own servers. Your payment information is subject to the privacy policy and security practices of our payment processor in addition to this Policy.

4. How We Share Your Information

We may share your business and contact information:

  • With our payment processor, to process transactions
  • With service providers who help us operate our business listings, website, or billing systems, solely to perform services on our behalf
  • Publicly, in limited form, as part of your business listing itself (e.g., your business name, category, and description will be visible to app users as part of the tour map — this is the purpose of the listing)
  • If required by law, such as in response to a subpoena, legal process, or government request
  • In a business transfer, such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets

We do not sell your business or contact information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

5. Data Retention

We retain your business and billing information for as long as your listing remains active, and for a reasonable period afterward as needed for accounting, tax, or legal purposes. If you cancel your listing, we will remove your public listing information from the tour maps, though we may retain billing records as required by law.

6. Your Choices and Rights

You may:

  • Request access to the business and contact information we hold about you
  • Request corrections to your business listing details
  • Request cancellation of your listing and deletion of your contact information (subject to our need to retain billing/tax records)
  • Opt out of non-essential email communications at any time

7. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your business and contact information. However, no method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. We will update the "Last Updated" date above and, where changes are material, notify current Business Partners via email.
